Mr. Dwayne Locklear, 66 of Pembroke, NC was born on July 13, 1958 and departed this life on Thursday, June 5, 2025. He is preceded in death by his parents: Mr. Gus Locklear, Jr. and Mrs. Theresa M. Locklear and his brother: Mr. Victor Locklear.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Saturday, June 14, 2025 at Pembroke First United Methodist Church with Rev. Matthue Locklear officiating. Burial will be in The Locklear Family Cemetery.
After returning to Pembroke, NC from Roxboro, NC where he lived with his family, Dwayne immediately began to immerse himself in the doings of Pembroke, NC. He’d been a fixture in Pembroke all these many years. He loved music and could rattle off band names and lyrics from songs 50 years ago with no hesitation.
Mr. Locklear is survived by his brother: Mr. Christopher Stephen Locklear and a host of cousins, friends and relatives.
The family will receive friends from 2:30 – 3 p.m. at Pembroke First United Methodist Church.
