Mrs. Linda Blue Locklear, 79, of Maxton, NC was born in Robeson County on December 4, 1944 and departed this life on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at her home. She is preceded in death by her parents: Mr. Thomas Blue and Mrs. Elsie Mae Blue and her brother Mr. Ronald Blue.
The funeral will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday, November 24, 2024 at Prospect Community Church with Rev. Ray Brooks, Trey Harris, and Mark Cody Strickland officiating. Burial will follow in the Sandcutt Cemetery.
Mrs. Locklear is survived by her husband: Mr. Arnold Locklear of Maxton, NC; son: Mr. Dwight David Locklear (Halona) of Rowland, NC; daughter: Ms. Tonya Locklear of Pembroke, NC; granddaughters: Anika Strickland (Mark Cody) of Pembroke, NC and Sora Cummings of Pembroke, NC; grandson: Camryn Locklear of Rowland, NC; sister: Ms. Maxine Blue of Bakersville, NC; an extended family member: Mr. Christopher Cummings and a host of relatives and friends. Special thanks to Ms. Linda Davis, Mr. Larry and Mrs. Kay Locklear and Scotland Regional Hospice.
The family will receive friends from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Sunday, November 24, 2024 at Prospect Community Church.
