Ms. Brenda Lee Locklear, 63, of 1262 South Chicken Road, Rowland, NC was born on September 18, 1959 and departed this life on Friday, January 20, 2023. She is preceded in death by her husband” Mr. Henry Neil Hammonds, two sons: Lacoma Lee Locklear and TJ Locklear; parents: Mr. Farmie Locklear and Mrs. Margie Rae Locklear; four brothers: Mr. Gary Locklear, Mr. Donald Locklear, Mr. Larry Locklear and Mr. Jerry Locklear and one sister: Ms. Carolina Locklear.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday, January 26, 2023 at United Pentecostal Church of Red Springs with Rev: Donald Oxendine officiating. Burial will follow in the Back Swamp Cemetery.
She leaves to cherish her memories: one daughter: Ms. Ciera Neilisha Hammonds (Justin); three grandsons: Candon Logan Gray, Canler Jade Hammonds (Brandon Gray) and Justlon Jacoma Jacobs; two brothers: Mr. Fentress Locklear, Mr. Charles and Ms. Delinda Locklear; eight sisters: Ms. Mary Oxendine, Ms. Doris Oxendine, Ms. Virginia Oxendine, Ms. Janice Oxendine, Mrs. Tammy Locklear (Ronnie), Mrs. Bessie L. Chmura (Richard) and Mrs. Vivian Smiling (Clifton); two special nephews/sons: Mr. Kenrick Lowery and Mr. Devan Locklear; two godsons: Mr. Wesley Cummings and Mr. Noah Cummings (Mitch and Annaliza); one special cousin: Trish Morga; ten nieces; nineteen nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. at United Pentecostal Church of Red Springs
