Mr. Stacy Jones formerly of Sampson Road Rowland was born April 21, 1928 to the late Mr. Jasper and Mrs. Willie Jane Jones. He departed this life Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at Morrison Manor in Laurinburg, NC after a brief illness. He is also preceded in death by his wife Mrs. Vergie Jones; three brothers: Mr. Luther Jones, Mr. Thurman Jones, and Mr. Bracey Jones; two sisters; Ms. Eunice Garcia and Ms. Eva Thomas.
He is survived by his devoted son: Mr. Tony Jones (Vickie); three grandchildren: Kimberly, Kendrick, and Casey and 5 great grandchildren.
Mr. Jones was an avid fisherman and loved spending time at his pond. He was also known for his great sense of humor and gentle spirit by his family and friends, as well as the residents and caretakers at Prestwick Assisted Living in Laurinburg.
A private memorial service is planned for a later date.
