Mr. Belton Locklear, Sr., 74 of 70 Ardell Road Maxton, passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2020 in the arms of his loving wife. Mr. Belton, better known to his wife as Mr. B, is preceded in death by his parents: Mr. Adnell Locklear and Mrs. Berta Locklear; one sister: Ms. Peggy Lowry; three brothers: Mr. Henry Lee Locklear, Mr. James Charlie Locklear and Mr. Willie Locklear; one step grandson: Mr. Melvin “Papa” Chavis.
The funeral will be 3:00 p.m. Friday, September 11, 2020 at Restoration Assembly of God with Revs: Matthew Jones and Shawn Chavis officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Belton is survived by his wife of 50 years: Mrs. Lottie Locklear of the home; two sons: Mr. Belton Lee Locklear, Jr. (Crystal) and Mr. Shelton Jones, Jr. all of Maxton; two sisters: Mrs. Addie Oxendine (Milton) of Maxton and Mrs. Connie Hunt (Jimmy) of Laurinburg; nine grandchildren: Xavier Lee Locklear, Charisa Lynn Locklear, Alexie Chavis, Sabrina Chavis, Tommy Locklear, Dylan Jones, Jacoby Jones, Colton Jones, Shakira Jones and a host of relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Thursday, September 10, 2020 at Restoration Assembly of God.
