Ms. Elmer Hammonds Butler, 80, of 716 South Chicken Road Rowland, NC, was born March 9, 1940 and departed this life on Thursday, August 27, 2020. She is preceded in death by her late husband: Mr. Buddy Bulter; a son: Mr. Victor Allen Hammonds; two grandsons: Lacoma and TJ Locklear and her parents: Mr. Henry and Mrs. Roberta Hammonds.
The graveside service will be 3:00 p.m. Monday, August 31, 2020 at White Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Mitchell Cummings officiating.
She leaves to cherish her memoires three sons: Mr. Douglas Hammonds (Linda) of Pembroke, NC, Mr. Neil Hammonds (Brenda) Od Rowland, NC and Mr. Kenny Ray Hammonds of the home; a grandson she raised: Kendrick Lowery (Karlee) of Pasadena, TX; three grandchildren: Brandi Oxendine ( Justin) of Pembroke, NC, Ciera Hammonds ( Justin) of Rowland, NC and Breanna Hammons (Victor) of Pembroke, NC; great-grandchildren: Canler, Hammonds, Candon and Brandon Gray, Rylan and Madilyn Oxendine, Aolani Dejesus and a host of relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 1 – 2:30 p.m. Monday, August 31, 2020 at Locklear & Son Funeral Home.
