Mr. Delton Ray Locklear

Mr. Delton Ray Locklear, 87, of 2529 Hezekiah Road, Maxton, was born February 25, 1930 and departed this life on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Morrison Manor in Laurinburg. He is preceded in death by his parents: Mr. William Roscoe Locklear and Mrs. Winnie Catherine Maynor; his first wife: Mrs. Carolyn Sampson Locklear; sister: Ms. Carrie Mae Dial; and an infant son. The funeral will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday, February 3, 2018, at Harpers Ferry Baptist Church with Revs: Michael Cummings and Lawrence Garner officiating. Burial will follow in the Harpers Ferry Church Cemetery. Mr. Locklear is survived by his wife of 63 years: Mrs. Sara N. Locklear; three sons: Mr. David R. Locklear (Shirley), Mr. Anthony C. Locklear (Terri) and Mr. Richard D. Locklear (Charlene); two sisters: Ms. Dorothy L. Blue and Mrs. Maxine L. Amos (Mac); seven grandchildren: Dwan R. Locklear, Sherry R. Locklear, Lester A. Locklear, Adrienne E. Locklear, Anthony C. Locklear II, Sara L. Locklear, And Avery J. Locklear; six great-grandchildren: Dakota R. Locklear, Kaitlyn P. Locklear, Logan T. Locklear, Anderson I. Locklear, Aaron Conley Locklear and Kyndall R. Woodell; two special nieces: Brenda Strickland and Tara Roth and a host of relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. Saturday, February 3, 2018, at Harpers Ferry Baptist Church.
