Mrs. Eunice Evelyn Locklear, 83, of Red Springs was born December 12, 1937 and departed this life on November 5, 2021 at UNC Southeastern Hospital. She is departed by her parents: Mr. Bell and Mrs. Nancy Jones; grandparents: Mr. R.D. and Mrs. Rocky Locklear; a grandson: Dakota B. Locklear; two brothers: Mr. Roscoe Jones and Mr. Willie F. Jones; two sisters Ms. Callie M. Jones and Ms. Linda R. Jones.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday, November 8, 2021 at Mt. Airy Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Strickland, Bro. Harlie Well Locklear and Bro. Alton Hagans officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Airy Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Locklear is survived by her husband: Mr. Early B. Locklear; two sons: Mr. Dulin E. Locklear of the home and Mr. Jimmy L. Locklear of Red Springs; one daughter: Mrs. Rita Locklear (Curtis) of Red Springs; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two brothers: Mr. Paul Jones (Vivian) and Mr. Donald G. Jones (Deanna); a special niece: Dr. Cheryl J. Davis; special caregivers: Ms. Chassidy Morgan and Ms. Camilla Chavis and a host of relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, November 7, 2021 at Locklear & Son Funeral Home.
