MRS. BEULAH MAE RANSOM KEMERER

Mrs. Beulah Mae Ransom Kemerer, 102, was born in Robeson County on September 6, 1919 to the late Mr. Conley and Mrs. Cottie Lowry Ransom. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Mr. Francis Clifford Kemerer, brothers: Mr. Andrew, Mr. Earl, Mr. Julian, Mr. Harvard, Mr. Eyrtle and Mr. Adrian.

She is survived by her children: Ms.  Jean D. Swinson, Ms. Deborah D. Brooks, Mr. Jerry D. Deese (Cathy), sister: Ms. Elsie Leisure and sister-in-law: Ms. Eldis Ransom.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Hopewell Methodist Church with Revs. Robin Hammonds and Steve Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

She graduated from Pembroke State University, which is now University of North Carolina at Pembroke.  At the time of her death, she was the oldest living alumni of the University.

She was a retired school teacher from the state of Maryland, who enjoyed quilting, ceramics, gardening and mostly her church.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Hopewell Methodist Church.
