MR. PHILLIP DEAN OXENDINE

     Mr. Phillip Dean Oxendine, 69, of Pembroke was born October 13, 1950 to Mr. James Arthur Oxendine and Mrs. Annie Ruth Canady Oxendine. He gave his heart to Jesus on January 16, 1967 and went to be with our Lord on August 8, 2020. He was preceded in death by his father: James Arthur; brother: Mr. Jimmy; son: Mr. Phillip Paul.

The funeral will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at Locklear and Son Funeral Home Chapel with Bros: Jeff Buckles and Howard Brooks officiating. Burial will follow in the Oxendine cemetery.

Left to miss him dearly, is his mother: Ruth; daughters: Mrs. Courtney (Sam), and Mrs. Randi (Josh); brothers: Mr. Buddy and Mr. Chuck (Sandy); sisters: Mrs. Teresa (Gene) and Mrs. Gina (Randy); five beloved grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; many friends, extended family and church family.

Mr. Oxendine served honorably in the United States Army. He worked as a police officer and campus cop at UNCP. He became disabled in 2003.

Mr. Oxendine was an avid cheerleader for his children and loved everyone with an amazing innocent love.

The Family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at Locklear & Son Funeral Home.
