MR. KENNETH LEE COLLINS

MR. KENNETH LEE COLLINS

Mr. Kenneth Lee Collins was born July 10, 1948 and passed away at the home on August 31, 2020.

Mr. Kenneth was a devoted husband, father and brother. His easy humor attracted others and made them feel comfortable in his presence. He gave abundantly of his love and respect to everyone he met whether worthy or unworthy. He saw only the best in his fellowman. His life’s work was harvesting lumber and roughing the great outdoors. The buzz of the chain saw and the roar of an engine was like Beethoven’s “Ode To Joy”.

He was a dedicated Christian serving as a deacon and Sunday school teacher at St. Annah Church.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. Thursday, September 3, 2020 at Berea Baptist Church with Rev. Tony Miller and Dr. Jeff Collins officiating. Buriwll will follow in the St. Annah Church Cemetery.

Mr. Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents: Mr. Robert Lee Collins and Mrs. Annie Ruth Cummings; a brother: Mr. Seltford Cummings; and a sister: Ms. Linda Collins.

Mr. Kenneth leaves behind a loving wife: Mrs. Brenda Deese Collins; two sons: Mr. Kennan LeMark Collins (Kenda) of Pembroke and Bretton DeKova Collins of Rowland; three grandchildren: Kaelin Bird; Kaede Collins and Kesler Collins; sister: Ms. Paula Sampson; brother: Mr.  Willie Collins (Helen); extended family and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends from 1-2:30 p.m. Thursday, September 3, 2020, at Locklear & Son Funeral Home.
