MR. JAMES FRANKLIN SCOTT

Mr. James Franklin “Frank” Scott, 87 made his heavenly flight on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at Lumberton Health and Rehabilitation Center in Lumberton NC.   He was born October 16, 1933.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. John Bennie (JB) and Mary Jane Spaulding Scott, a sister, Gaynora Leach; four brothers, Percell Scott, Earl Scott, Lindberg Scott, Vardell Scott, the mother of his children, Mary Jane Locklear Scott, a son Bryan Nicolas Scott and great- granddaughter, Baby Jane Goins.

Surviving is his wife, Elsie Ransom Scott of Pembroke. Two daughters, Brenda K Jacobs (Randy) of Lumberton, Linda Faye Goins (Charles) of Pembroke and a son Randall Scott (Donna) of Lumberton.  Three sisters, Nevelyn Graham (Lacie), Willow Dean Locklear, and Patricia Ann Chavis all of Lumberton, two sisters-in-law, Ida Scott of Pembroke and Marvel Ann Scott of Lumberton. Grandsons, Matthew Lin Goins, Andrew Franklin Goins, Ethan Cody Jacobs, Elliott Scott Goins, Donnie Cole Jacobs, Johnny Sintel Scott, Josh Scott, Jordan Nicholas Scott and Nate Hagans.  Great Grand Children, Garrison Cole McNeill, Zarah Faith Goins and Harper Jane Jacobs and a host of relatives and friends.

Mr. Scott retired from Railroad Friction, formerly known as Johns Manville. He was a devoted member of St. Annah Freewill Baptist Church in Pembroke.  He loved playing golf and fishing.

A special thanks to Community Hospice and to Lumberton Health and Rehabilitation where he was a resident since December 2016.

Walk through visitation will be Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Locklear & Son Funeral Home, 1:30 – 2:30 pm.  Funeral service will be at 3 pm at St. Annah Freewill Baptist Church in Pembroke in the parking lot.  Masks are encouraged.

    My deepest sympathies are extended to the family of Mr. James Scott during this unfortunate time. May the love and mercy of our Lord be bestowed upon you and help ease the pain of your loss.
