MR. JACKIE OXENDINE

Mr. Jackie Oxendine, 78, of 1619 Philadelphus Road, was born February 28, 1942 departed this life on Saturday, October 3, 2020. He is preceded in death by his parents: Mr. Willie Kern Oxendine and Mrs. Katy Oxendine.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at Green Pine Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Cliff Locklear, Leon Revels Jr. and Andrew Oxendine officiating. Burial will follow at In the Pines Cemetery.

Mr. Oxendine is survived by his wife: Mrs. Wilma Cummings Oxendine; two sons: Mr. William Michael Oxendine (Paula) and Mr. Jackie Oxendine Jr.; two daughters: Ms. June “Sissy” Elizabeth Oxendine and Ms. Jenel Oxendine Hunt (JoJo); one brother: Mr. Richard Cherry Oxendine; four sisters: Ms. Ola Jacobs, Ms. Frances Oxendine, Ms. Wilma Norris and Ms. Sally Harvey; twelve grandchildren: Dustin M. Ransom, Joshua L. Ransom, Amber L. Locklear, Calista A. Oxendine, Mary E. McGirt, Summer L. Oxendine, Skyler A. Oxendine, James “Bubba” R. McGirt, Jackie “JT” Oxendine III, Savannah Oxendine, Brittany N. Quick, Ricky Wright; eight great-grandchildren: Dustin “Turtle” M. Ransom Jr., Issac L. Quick, Bryson G. Ransom, Abigail R. Quick, Madison L. Quick, Kelleigh S. Ransom, Taylin Wright and Adalyn Wright and a host of relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at Green Pines Freewill Baptist Church.

    Jackie, Rest in peace my high school classmate. You are finally home. No more pain, no more heartache, no more tears, no more suffering any more. WOW!!! the reward God’s children have and are longing for for so long… to see and bow down to our Lord and Savior JESUS CHRIST!
