MR. GEORGE A. LOCKLEAR

Mr. George Alton Locklear, 90, of Lumberton, previously of Norwalk, California, entered into his heavenly home on Monday, April 25, 2022. He was born on March 30, 1932 in Robeson County to the late Mr. Hezzie and Mrs. Isadora Locklear. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife: Mrs. Judith Ann Wade Locklear; a daughter: Ms. Lesa Rivera; sisters: Ms. Elmer Locklear and Mrs. Mary Ellen McCarthy; a brother: Mr. Harvie Locklear; a grandson: Mr. Ronnie Rodgers and a sister-in-law: Mrs. Marsha Locklear.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. Saturday, April 30, 2022 at Pembroke Gospel Chapel with Revs. Jerry Locklear and Mitch Cummings officiating. Burial will follow in the Burnt Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Locklear leaves to cherish his memory one son: Mr. George Lantz Locklear and wife Kim of Bull Head City, Arizona; five grandchildren: Ernest Andrew Rivera (Esperanza), Alania Rivera (Antonio), Ashley Rivera Oropeza (Anthony) and Cheyenne Rodgers; ten great grandchildren: Samuel, Blayze, Raymond, Eileen, Lorenzo, Asel, Adam, Maddie, Serenity and Devin; two sisters: Mrs. Cora Silcox (Pete) of Brushcreek, TN and Mrs. Mary Lee Locklear (Lloyd) of Lumberton, NC; two brothers: Mr. Wyvin Locklear and Rev. Jerry Locklear (Jean) all of Lumberton, NC and a host of relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. Saturday, April 30, 2022 at Pembroke Gospel Chapel.
