MR. FREDDIE OXENDINE

Mr. Freddie Oxendine, 74, of 5266 Prospect Road, was born November 30, 1945 and departed this life on October 8, 2020 at First Health of the Carolinas at Pinehurst. He is preceded in death by his parents: Mr. Harley Well Oxendine and Mrs. Essie Mae Oxendine.

Mr. Oxendine worked many years as a Millwright with Fluor Construction.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday, October 11, 2020 at Cherokee Chapel Church with Rev. Jimmy F. Locklear officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Oxendine is survived by his wife: Mrs. Joyce Oxendine; one son: Mr. Kevin Oxendine (Dynel); one daughter: Mrs. Christina O. McMillan (Dan); three brothers: Mr. Harley Well Oxendine Jr., Mr. Bobby Dean Oxendine and Mr. Ronald Lee Oxendine; two sisters: Ms. Genette Oxendine and Mrs. Trenette O. Deese (Bill); four grandchildren: “Them Boys” Michael Cole Oxendine, Daniel Caden Oxendine, Waydan Delaney McMillan and Wyatt Dannon McMillan; and a host of relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Sunday, October 11, 2020 at Cherokee Chapel Church.
