MARY FAYE STRICKLAND

Mrs. Mary Faye Strickland, 80, of Pembroke, NC passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 18, 2021. She was born in Robeson County on September 3, 1941 to Mr. Luther and Margaret Dimery. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Mr. Luther E. Dimery, Jr.  and Mr. Samuel Dimery; two sisters: Ms. Peggy Dimery and Ms. Carolyn Dimery.

The funeral will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at Sycamore Hill Church Fellowship Hall with Revs: Terry Cummings, Brian Strickland and Floyd Hunt officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Mary leaves to cherish her memories, her husband of 56 years: Mr. William Boyd Strickland; three daughters: Mrs. Angela Barnes (Jimmy) of Pembroke, Ms. Carol Lynn Strickland of the home and Mrs. Rose Maria Cummings (Dean) of Maxton; one son: Mr. Stephen Boyd Strickland (Melissa) of Southern Pines; two brothers: Mr. Terry Dimery (Theresa) of Lumberton and Mr. Ricky Dimery (Cindy) of Rowland; one sister: Esther Dimery of Rowland and a sister-in-law Ms. Paul Ann Dimery of Lumberton. She also leaves behind ten grandchildren: Brittany Strickland (Blake Smith) Corey Rice (Christopher). Kenny and Kellie Strickland, Branlon, Braedon, Bethani. Kamryn, Greyson and Addison Cummings; one great-grandchild: Clark Eleanor Rice due to be born in January 2022 and a former daughter-in-law Ms. Sheila Strickland and a host of relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at Sycamore Hill Church Fellowship Hall.
