MR. GEORGE JONATHAN SAMPSON

Mr. Jonathan Sampson, 52, of 1459 Sampson Road, Rowland, was born January 4, 1968 to the late Mr. Bobby Sampson and Mrs. Carol Sampson. He departed this life on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family.

The funeral will be 2:00 p.m Saturday, September 19, 2020 at Beulah Baptist Church with Rev. Thomas Oxendine and Bro. Paul G. Brooks officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Jonathan is survived by his wife of 24 years: Mrs. Annette Hunt Sampson of the home; one brother: Mr. Joseph Bert Sampson (Jenna Dial Sampson) of Rowland; one sister: Ms. Ginger Jor-Don Sampson of Maxton; a special cousin: Mrs. Trina Sampson Mearite of Rowland; two special friends: Mr. Greg Locklear and Jennings “Scooby” Locklear both of Rowland; two fur babies: Olivia and Mello Sampson both of the home and a host of relatives and friends.

Mr. Jonathan will be remembered for his love of Nascar and the Dallas Cowboys football team. He was a dedicated Cowboys fan and his cheering will forever be heard in our hearts.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Saturday, September 19, 2020 at Beulah Baptist Church.

    To the family of Jonathan Sampson, he was a man of greatness. A wonderful friend and had a great friendly smile that welcomed you whenever you greet him. We Class of 86″ loved Jonathan, and he will be truly missed. My prayers will always be with you Annette and the family. Rest in Jesus arms Jonathan until we meet again. Love you!
