Mr. Hallman Oxendine

Mr. Hallman Oxendine, 82, of 157 Hallman Drive, Rowland was born November 12, 1931 and departed this life on Friday, September 26, 2014.  He was preceded in death by his parents:  Mr. Robert & Mrs. Lucy Oxendine; a brother: Mr. Robert Oxendine, Jr. and three sisters: Ms. Willo Dean Strickland, Ms. Muriel Oxendine and Mrs. Dorothy Locklear.
Mr. Oxendine was a retired teacher with the Public Schools of Robeson County with 25 years of service, a military veteran of the US Airforce with 4 years of service and a church member of Beulah Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday school teacher and a deacon for many years.
The funeral will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Monday, September 29, 2014, at Beulah Baptist Church with the Revs: Ronnie Locklear and Mike Cummings officiating.  Burial will follow in the Beulah Church Cemetery.
Surviving are his wife: Mrs. Florence Oxendine of the home; three daughters: Mrs. Felecia Wilkins(Craig) of Snellville, GA, Ms. Feletus Chavis of Rowland and Mrs. Halona Locklear(Dwight) of Rowland; five grandchildren: Skye Wilkins, Kyle Wilkins, Garrett Chavis, Anika Locklear and Camryn Locklear and a host of relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. Monday, September 29, 2014, at Beulah Baptist Church.
