Mrs. Willie Mae Deese
Maxton

   Mrs. Willie Mae Deese, 96, of 260 Old Baker Road, was born May 29, 1920 and departed this life on Saturday, July 2, 2016, at Scotland County Hospice-Morrison Manor in Laurinburg. She is preceded in death by her husband: Mr. Neil David “Pal” Deese; her parents: Mr. Nathan Westley and Mrs. Emmie Locklear Jacobs; sisters: Ms. Mary Jacobs Jerrett, Ms. Lucy J. Locklear, Ms. Lizzie Jacobs and Ms. Winnie Jacobs; brothers: Mr. Joe Locklear, Mr. William Jacobs, Mr. John Jacobs and Rev. Daniel Jacobs; a daughter: Miss Christobel Deese; a son: Mr. Harold Dean Deese; a grandson: Mr. Neil Ray Jacobs and a granddaughter: Miss Lizzie M. Jacobs.
  
The funeral will be 3:00 p.m. Thursday, July 7, 2016, at West Robeson United Methodist Church with the Revs: Dr. Terry Hunt, Listern Dial and Vicky Bullard officiating.  Burial will follow in the Bakers Chapel Church Cemetery.
  
Surviving are a son: Mr. Carleton Ray Jacobs of the home and a brother: Mr. Erwin Jacobs of Maxton; nine grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; a special care-giver: Ms. Sharon Jones and a special niece: Ms. Brenda Locklear and a host of relatives and friends.
  
The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2016, at Locklear & Son Funeral Home.
