Mr. George Wayne “Mule” Brooks

                                       Maxton
    
Mr. George Wayne “Mule” Brooks, 58, of 95 Jane Road, Maxton, was born July 23, 1953 and departed this life on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center.  He is preceded in death by his parents: Mr. Early & Mrs. Callie Brooks; two sisters: Ms. Patricia Brooks and Mrs. Jerline McMillian; two brothers: Mr. Luke Brooks and Mr. Earlie Brooks.
    
The funeral will be conducted 3:00 P.M. Friday, July 6, 2012, at Potter’s House Church with the Revs: Phillip Locklear, Edward Brooks and Fredrick Locklear officiating.  Burial will follow in the White Hill Church Cemetery.
    
Surviving are nine sisters: Mrs. Perline Woods, Mrs. Maudie Mae Oxendine, Mrs. Blondell Brayboy, Mrs. Mary Culbertson, Mrs. Vergie Locklear, Mrs. Lenora Locklear and Ms. Annette Brooks all of Maxton, Mrs. Catherine B. Locklear of Rowland and Mrs. Dinah Kay Oxendine of Lumberton; three brothers: Mr. Donald Ray Brooks, Mr. John Brooks, Mr. Don Brooks all of Maxton; fourty-four nieces and nephews and a gigantic host of other relatives and friends; a special friend: Mr. Lenn Earl Bullard and a special nephew: Nehemiah Early Brooks.
    
The family will receive friends after 5:00 p.m., Thursday, July 5, 2012, at his home, 95 Jane Road, Maxton.
